SophistaPirates is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing public access to arts, culture, and creative education.

We create immersive artistic spaces, fund and install large-scale art projects, and offer creative grants that empower individuals to engage in radical self-expression and community building.

Our programs bring transformative art experiences to underserved and rural communities, inspiring exploration, connection, and cultural enrichment for the public.

For the first time ever, the SophistaPirates are heading to Burning Man as a full theme camp, bringing immersive pirate worlds, interactive art, and our signature hospitality to the dust. And as always, we’ll be taking that same energy to Element 11, building out our camp, art, and interactivity for our home burn.

But big dreams require big support, and that’s where our annual fundraiser comes in.

Join us for an unforgettable night of music, art, performances, and community as we raise funds to build the infrastructure, art, and interactivity the playa demands
